Tell All Thursday

When I craft, you see cute little photos of whatever random thing I've made. 

Wanna see what everything else looks like while I make that one cute thing? 

Yes? 

You asked for it.

My studio is my living room. Our downstairs is an open living room/eat-in kitchen. My sewing desk and some supplies are in the living room. It works great for me because I can spend time with the kiddos while crafting.

In my crazy life, my crafting is my creative outlet and a need. And so I let things go when I need to so I can make something that won't just be undone by the children. 

I'm also so blessed by the fact that my husband understands and loves that I take the time to do what I love. When he comes home, if the house is ca-razy like this all he does is look around with a grin and ask, "Get some crafting done today?" He's the best!

So...

In an effort to keep it real, I thought I would share a picture that is not a cute cropped photo of something adorable. Like hand painted stag head wallpaper. Or another quilt.

I took this at the end of dinner in the middle of the week. I had been using every spare minute to finish sewing Christmas presents that needed to get mailed out to family. I was just glad to have fed the children a good dinner: fried chicken, mashed potatoes, gravy, and corn. It's all about priorities, baby. Sewing Christmas presents, delicious food, and family dinner.

I have been asked where I find time to sew and I tell them that I just let everything else go. 

And this picture's proof.

Oh yeah. 

But, don't worry. We have family coming into to town tomorrow, so the house is MUCH cleaner.
