Haley Quilt

*update- The handquilting is all done and only the edges need to be done now!

I'm currently working on a quilt for the Hekkings and this is my update for Julie. :P The above picture is when I had put most of the pieces together and took a pic for her to make sure she liked it.           Thankfully, she did. :)
In this one, all of the pieces are sewn and I was making sure that it fit well on a queen size bed.

Connections Basket

I go to a local women's group, called Connections, and they are doing a basket auction. I made this one for it. It's called Handmade Baby.
There is an elephant set, red so that it will be gender neutral...
Mrs. Meyer's organic baby blossom hand lotion & stain remover...
And 3 matching bib & burpcloth sets, one boy-ish, one girl-ish, and one gender neutral.

March Giveaway!

                       And this month's giveaway is....
...an elephant set! (one big elephant & one baby elephant)          These elephants love to travel!

They love the jungle and the urban jungle

The big elephant is my favorite, but the little elephant is such a cute chubby little baby.  I've really enjoyed making these. If you want to enter this giveaway, leave a comment on this post by Saturday, March 21st. The winner will be announced Monday, March 23rd. If you want to join in the give away and don't have a blog, email me at rose_collegegirl@yahoo.com. I'll then put you in the giveaway myself.

Stuffed Elephants

Lately, I have been making stuffed elephants. I found my inspiration on homemade-by-jill. I'm really enjoying them.
I'm going to do a give-away once a month now here on my blog. This month I'm going to be doing one with an elephant set (a big elephant and baby elephant).

                                    ....so, stay tuned! :)

Painted Pottery

The other weekend Josh and I went and painted pottery and this is what we made. He made an 'Opeth' bowl and I made a fiesta plate. We had alot of fun and definitely plan to go again.

Cindy's Quilt

I made this quilt in 2006, I think it was. It was for my great friend, Cindy. I made it using a triangle template. It was alot of fun laying them all out and figuring out what design I thought looked best.
Since I have been trying to compile pics of all of the quilts that I've made, Cindy sent me recent pics the other month and I've just now put them up. lol  Here is a close-up:
And here is a pic of the back:
~modeled by Becca. It was tied with yellow ribbon. I think, if I remember right, her wedding colors were light blue and yellow. *in this pic, from use and storage, some of the ties are untied.
