Christmas- Queen Size Quilt

~This is a pic of the finished quilt on the intended bed. Joy said that she likes patriotic things and since I knew that she had a blue wall(and instead of trying to match blue from a pic), I used red and white to make it patriotic.

Bib & Burp-cloth Set

This was made for another new nephew of mine. :) The burp cloth is a cloth diaper with material down the center.

Tag Blanket pt.2

I made this tag blanket for my future niece/nephew. (don't know yet) I'm so excited about my brother's coming baby. :) I did it in red so that it would work for either gender.

Crayon-Rolls

These were fun to make. (Also, my first time doing these.) I made these for nephews.

Treasure Map

Now, this was definitely one of my favorite ones to do. It was one of the ones that required quite a bit of creativity.  Todd really liked this one and so now I'm just gonna have to make one for him, too. I embroidered the top of the map. I, also, put fusible interfacing between the pieces of material to add a little of stiffness to make the treasure map blanket seem more realistic.

After I made one of these for Kate, I wanted to make one for one of my new nephews.

Rag Quilt (1st of Christmas Crafts posts)

So, ...the long awaited Christmas crafts that I made. The first is this rag quilt.

My favorite material on the front would be the 'treasure map' material.

A close-up of the top material.

I really love the stripes on the back.

Bibs

I wanted to make some really pretty bibs for Kate, so here are the first two that I've made.

Baby Girl Top

I found the cutest black and white damask material at Joanne's Fabric. I decided to make this for Kate. It was going to be a dress originally, but didn't cut it long enough. Oh well, I think that it makes for an adorable top.

Princess Dress

I made this dress out of bubblegum pink satin. I don't know that I'll really use satin that much anymore, just because it is difficult to work with and frays so easily.  I'm really glad that I made it though. It is so cute and I have been wanting to make a dress like this for a long time.

Mom's Quilt

I made this quilt for my Mom back in 2004.

Mom's Lap Quilt

I was either in Middle School or High School and made this for my Mom.

Mom's Bag

Wow.    I made this denim bag way back when. I'm pretty sure it was back in Middle School out in Wyoming... or sometime close to that. It is made out of denim and I used fabric paint to decorate it.

Tennessee Quilt

This quilt was entirely hand sewn. lol That took awhile, but I did it. I liked the 'antique' type of fabrics for this quilt.
*this pic is one of the usual that I usually do every time that I make a quilt. I take a pic of the pattern and then repeat. This way I can go back on my camera to make sure that I'm doing it as I had originally planned.
~ I did find this extra pic in my pic archives...

Humanitarian Aid Lap Quilt

Last year for Christmas (last year being 2007), I made and donated this lap quilt to someone who needed it. I had been wanting to do this particular quilt block and this gave me the opportunity to try it.
Don't you like the baby bump on the bottom of the pic there? :)

Custom Quilt

*1- don't you just love the look on Todd's face? :) *2- This quilt was made for a custom order in February 2007. A husband wanted this for his wife to surprise her. The colors matched her home and he requested their children's names on it, a pic of a beagle (like a dog they had that had passed away) with the name of the dog, and monkeys on it. So... this is what they got. It is for a queen size bed.
A close-up of the beagle and her name. I used applique and embroidery.

One of the three monkeys. I used hand applique and embroidery here, too.

The name of their daughter, Hannah.

The name of their son, Cade.
